This two-page document provides Missouri’s registered school nurses (RNs) with a practical self-assessment tool. The assessment includes 93 items that can be rated on a five-item lickert scale (i.e, 1 No experience/knowledge to 5, Mastery experience/knowledge and ability to teach and supervise others).
The assessment findings can be used to assist school nurses in developing a professional development plan that can lead to increased confidence and competence in providing higher quality student health care.
