Show Me School Health
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services – School Health Program and University of Missouri Continuing Education for Health Professions have partnered to develop a unique training and resource program called Show Me School Health. Current training and evidence-based website resources are described in the Show Me School Health flyer (2 page, front-back PDF).
Our Goal
Our goal throughout this partnership is to provide children a higher quality of nursing care in the school setting, improving management of chronic health conditions and acute care needs.
We will also ensure school nurses:
- Have the clinical skills to provide safe care to students with special health care needs
- Feel more competent in delivering specialized care in the school setting
- Will be able to assertively delegate health care procedures to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP).
In turn, unlicensed assistive personnel in the school setting will be more confident in delivering care to students.
